“Climate Change is the defining issue of our time and we are at a defining moment.” – United Nations

To make this Earth a better place for everyone requires more than just using renewable technologies or creating good strategies. There is a need for greater calm and more compassion.  To take proper care of each other and our increasingly fragile Earth, a new mindset is needed, and a change in each one’s consciousness and attitudes.  In this presentation Golo Pilz will explore:

  • the deep connection between Science and spirituality
  • how to recognise the connection between our inner and outer world
  • a new approach to the production of renewable energy

Golo was born in Germany and has studied Raja Yoga meditation since 1984.  He is currently based at the BK headquarters in Mount Abu, India. Since 1993, Golo has played a key role in establishing the Brahma Kumaris as one of the major users of renewable energies in India.  Most recently, he was involved in directing the construction of India One, a 1MW solar thermal power plant - a landmark in the future Indian renewable energy scenario (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sizTT_7PEJs).

Golo has initiated, with technical and financial collaboration from the Indian and German Governments, various innovative research projects that are focused towards rural adaption. He is an experienced presenter and participates regularly in UN Climate Conferences, where he advocates sustainable solutions through an ethical and values-based approach.
