Walking for Peace

Around 50 pupils from five schools in Harrow came together for a Peace Walk through Harrow Town Centre in May, as part of the Young Ambassadors for Peace (YAP) initiative, run by Inner Space Wembley. , the walk was led by Councillor Anjana Patel in her new role as Mayor of Harrow. Now in its second year, YAP aims to inspire the younger generation to find peace within themselves, develop leadership skills, promote teamwork, and become true ambassadors for peace within their communities, building unity and respect for all. Organised especially to mark the UN International Day of Living Together in Peace, the event was covered by BBC Radio 4 Sunday programme and you can hear it here.
