Historic Glasgow 850 Interfaith Declaration
Senior representatives from Glasgow’s diverse faith and belief communities came together at the City Chambers in November to launch the Glasgow 850 Interfaith Declaration—a powerful statement of unity and shared values in the face of growing division at home and abroad. Backed by the Lord Provost and signed by leaders from 12 traditions, the Declaration commits faith and belief communities to work together for equality, peace, and climate justice—to help Glasgow flourish in the years to come. For the Brahma Kumaris, Rose Goodenough said: “By signing this Declaration, we affirm our commitment to nurturing peace, respect, and compassion. We believe that when individuals and communities join together with a higher purpose, the atmosphere created can help heal divisions and support a more harmonious future.”
