Honouring UN International Day of Non-Violence
On October 2nd, the International Day of Non-Violence, representatives from Brahma Kumaris UK joined an event organized by the Indian High Commission at Tavistock Square Garden, London, where the statue of Mahatma Gandhi has stood for many years as a symbol of peace. Recently, the statue was vandalised but Camden Council acted swiftly to restore it in time for this important day.
High Commissioner for India Mr Vikram Doraiswami reflected: “The greatest act of violence is carrying hatred in the heart.” Mayor Eddie Hanson shared how Gandhi’s values can restore peace in our communities.Click here
