May 29, 2025 | Brahma Kumaris UK

The inauguration of HH Pope Leo on Sunday the 18th May brings a ministry of purpose and inclusiveness, continuing the legacy of HH Pope Francis. At the invitation of the Vatican’s Dicastry of Interreligious Dialogue, the Brahma Kumaris joined Buddhist, Hindu, Jain, Sikh, Muslim and Zoroastrian leaders, together with leaders of non- Catholic Churches and the Jewish Community in St Peter’s Square for the inaugural mass. In his homily His Holiness spoke of God’s love:

“We are called to offer God’s love to everyone, in order to achieve that unity which does not cancel out differences but values the personal history of each person and the social and religious culture of every people… Brothers and sisters, this is the hour for love!… Together, as one people, as brothers and sisters, let us walk towards God and love one another.”

In the special audience with faith communities in the historic Clementine Room the next day, His Holiness again emphasised the togetherness of being one human family.

“Now is the time for dialogue and building bridges. I am therefore pleased and grateful for the presence of representatives of other religious traditions, who share the search for God and His will, which is always and only the will of love and life for men and women and for all creatures.

He referred to Pope Francis who promoted: “the culture of dialogue as the path; mutual collaboration as the code of conduct; reciprocal understanding as the method and standard”…. In a world wounded by violence and conflict, each of the communities represented here brings its own contribution of wisdom, compassion and commitment to the good of humanity and the preservation of our common home…. Let us ask for God’s blessing in our hearts; may His infinite goodness and wisdom help us to live as His children and as brothers and sisters to each other, so that hope may grow in the world. I offer you my heartfelt gratitude.”

Pope Leo then graciously met every delegate personally. The message to His Holiness from the Brahma Kumaris: “By your presence we know that God’s light and the healing power of God’s love will come to our world; our world needs healing.”
