RegisterBK Sister Sudesh
Sister Sudesh is a spiritual luminary who has dedicated over 65 years to serving humanity through meditation, education, and empowerment. Born in North India in 1942 and raised in a spiritually inclined family, she was inspired from a young age to be of service. By 16, she was already headmistress of a girls' school and later earned a degree in Political Science. She was deeply influenced by the visionary founder of the Brahma Kumaris, Brahma Baba, who encouraged women to lead in both spiritual and social change.
A senior yogi and respected global teacher, Sudesh Didi has helped establish centres, spiritual museums, and teacher training programmes throughout India and around the world. In 1974, she moved to the UK to expand the Brahma Kumaris' international work alongside Dadi Janki, preparing thousands of students and teachers across more than 140 countries. Since 1996, she has been based in Germany, where she continues to guide national and European activities.
Known for her clarity, wisdom, and compassion, Didi is a powerful speaker and spiritual guide who has travelled to over 75 countries, offering insights into self-mastery, meditation, and the creative power of the mind. She is Joint Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University and was honoured with the Bharat Gaurav Award in 2018. Her presence uplifts hearts, and her message is simple yet profound: "Despite our physical nature and circumstances, we are all actually at our core, spiritual beings."
